Oxtail requires long, slow cooking , but when given time it can deliver a truly tasty dish, hence the reason it is so popular in soups and stews.

It comes on the bone with a lot of fat and provides a staggering amount of flavour. 

Use to make the firm family favourite Oxtail soup, or a beautiful oxtail stew with basil dumplings. 

Suggested Serving Size

8oz or roughly 225g per person.

Basic Cooking Guide

Casserole at Gas Mark 3/170ºC/325ºF or stew low and slow for 2 hours+. Suggested minimum cooking time 2 hours.
